About the Club
The name of the club is the Calmwater Bay Ski Club Ltd.
The objects of the club are to provide for its members the facilities for water sports and all other facilities, privileges and advantages usually associated with a club.
The club is owned by the shareholders but run by an elected committee. Details of the committee members and their contact details are available on a separate sheet. They are responsible for providing the club facilities. Nik Sadler holds the lease on behalf of the shareholders.
Management of the club in all matters shall be under the control of the committee.

About Membership

The membership year runs from 1st March to the last day in February the following year.
Candidates for election to membership must complete and submit an application form each year.
A register of members will be kept containing the name, addresses, and contact details. These details will be used by the club only and will not be passed on to any other parties except the BWS.
Membership of the club does not entitle member to admission to the club premises or any part of them in the event the club premises or any part of them being full, or having insufficient room for people boats or equipment, and admissions shall always be subject to such terms and conditions as to payment or otherwise as the committee shall from time to time determine.
The subscription will be such sum as the committee may determine from time to time and shall be payable on the date each year as determined by the committee. The committee may dispense with the fee entirely.
The committee may terminate the membership of a member of the club if his/her subscription (if any) has not been paid within 28 days after such subscription shall become due, in which event he/she shall be readmitted to membership only upon re-election and on payment of arrears.
The committee or their appointed representative shall have the power to reprimand any member or to suspend or expel from membership any member who shall act in breach of the rules or regulations of the club, or whose conduct on the club premises shall be prejudicial to the interests of the club or its members or which in the opinion of the committee render him/her unfit for membership.
Guests may be admitted to the club at the discretion of the committee.

About Health and Safety

The shareholders and members of the club accept no liability for any accidents that may occur whilst involved in club activities.
All drivers are accredited to B.W.S. standard, but advice about how to ski and improve is given on a non-professional basis and it is the responsibility of each individual to decide if they wish to follow that advice.
Life jackets must be worn at all times when skiing. Children and adults who cannot swim must wear life jackets in the boat at all times.
Children are not allowed on the jetty or near the water unless accompanied by an adult.

These rules may be varied, added to or revoked by the committee and the authority for interpreting the rules and for settling all disputes relating to the affairs of the club rests with the committee too.
